The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) is leading on a £80m investment programme to improve collaboration between the UK’s creative industries and universities. August 01, 2017 Part of the government’s Industrial Strategy, the Creative Industries Clusters Programme starting in 2018 is designed to help catalyse economic growth and provide the skills needed for the jobs of the future. The Creative Economy Programme’s main focus will be on enhancing and extending the AHRC’s reach in the creative economy, emphasising the importance of arts and humanities research in generating impact across the sector, ranging from micro-businesses to large corporations.
